Mountain View 1.5

Some in-laws and I were going to take a trip up to Helen Hunt Falls the other afternoon. Unfortunately, bad luck, poor planning, and bad research skills all conspired against us. We arrived to find the place closed for renovation and reconstruction. On the drive home, our dejected and slightly annoyed group noticed a random hiking trail going off the road. So of course, we figured we wouldn't waste the trip up the mountain.

A distant bluff and even more distant reservoir, seen from about halfway up the trail. On the way back down, we saw some climbers enjoying the view from there. It looked rather awesome, and since they were too far away to see details, I figured they wouldn't mind my snapping another shot. Have I ever mentioned how much I love digital zooming?
